Nate Mason
Lead Pastor
Nate was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and is a lifelong devoted Minnesota Twins fan. He first heard the gospel at the Baptist church where he grew up attending. He was saved as a child and became convinced at an early age of God's call on his life to serve as a pastor. He met and married his wife, Callie, at their home church in Minnesota.
After graduating from college with a degree in Bible and Greek, Nate and Callie moved to Mishawaka, Indiana, where he served as an Associate Pastor for nearly a decade. During that time, he completed a Master of Arts degree from Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Minnesota and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Pastor Nate has served as the Lead Pastor at First Baptist Church of Effingham since 2020. His greatest desire is to bring glory to God by preaching the gospel and teaching the Bible to God’s people so that they can grow in their knowledge and love for Him. Pastor Nate and Callie have been married for 14 years and have 3 children.
