What To Expect
Where do I go?
Our church is located on the southeast corner of Banker Street and Fayette Avenue. Our main entrance is under the canopy. Plenty of parking is available to the east and south of our building, or in the lot across Rinehart Street. If helpful, feel free to drop off your family under the canopy and then find a parking space.
What should I wear?
We are thrilled that you are joining us, and we want you to be more focused on the gathering than on what you're wearing. There is no uniformity of dress among our people, and we'll be happy to welcome you regardless of your clothing.
What is a worship gathering like?
A typical gathering will last about an hour and fifteen minutes. We sing a mix of modern and traditional music that is led by a variety of musicians, and different people read Scripture and pray. Most of the time is devoted to preaching, when a pastor will open up the Bible and explain what God has said and how it has significance in our lives today.
Is there something for my kids?
We encourage our families to worship together since the worship gathering is encouraging and instructive for all generations. We also provide childcare for children from birth through age 5.
Will I be expected to give money?
We practice Biblical stewardship at First Baptist, which includes giving regularly to our church as God has blessed. However, if you are visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering box.
